Grown from a
Paso Robles Vineyard
Continental Vineyard
Continental Vineyard was purchased in 1973 by visionary Herman Schwartz who initially planted 520 acres of grapevines. Schwartz was considered an innovative grower that embraced sustainable techniques early on during their emergence in the 1980s. He had a keen interest in promoting Paso Robles as a high-quality grape growing region.
Between 1995 and 1998, Schwartz upgraded the vineyard by replanting and carefully choosing materials appropriate to each location across its acreage. Continental’s current owners purchased the ranch in 2006 and remain committed to sustainability by maintaining a future focus on technologically advanced farming methods.
The Vineyard is currently planted to 712.97 acres of premium grapes, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay and other popular varieties. Continental Vineyards remains committed to the sustainable ideals set in place by Schwartz in addition to continuing to showcase the high-quality reputation of Paso Robles wines.
The Vineyard is located approximately 13 miles east of downtown Paso Robles, just north of Hwy 46E, in the Estalla Bench region.
