Accountability of Appellation
Made up of 612k acres, 40k of which is to wine grapes, the Paso Robles AVA is located between Los Angeles and San Francisco near the Hearst Castle and is home to over 200 predominantly family-owned wineries.
Paso Robles as a region is favorable to growing over 69 different varieties and can experience 50-degree temperature swings from day to night. With elevations ranging from 700 to 2,00-foot elevations, the region also features diverse meso climates and 30 distinct soil series – all of which help contribute to its long growing season for world-class wines with balanced sugar and acidity.
